OSI incorporated the survey resources of its sister company, CSA Ocean Sciences, Inc. (CSAOS), mobilizing a total of three separate missions under rapid planning and mobilization conditions.

Ocean Specialists, Inc (OSI) is pleased to announce the completion of the Desktop Study (DTS) and Budget Analysis Projects for the Early Warning Offshore Cascadia system being developed by the University of Washington. During this multi-month engagement, OSI assessed the feasibility for the installation of a network of instrumentation system off the coast of the Pacific Northwest. This future network will measure seismic activity and seafloor pressure to provide early warning of large earthquakes and tsunamis affecting the Pacific northwest.

Highly anticipated undersea cable will link Vanuatu and Solomon Islands

STUART, Fla., June 5, 2018 — Ocean Specialists Inc. (OSI), a Florida, U.S. based subsea cable development and advisory company, today announced a partnership with Interchange Limited to lead overall project management and buildout of the ICN2 cable system linking Vanuatu and Solomon Islands. The ICN2 cable system is the first contract in force fiber-optic subsea cable to the Solomon Islands, answering the growing need for high speed internet among these small Pacific islands. The companies expect the system to be ready for service in the fourth quarter of 2019.

OSI Delivers Construction Phase of ATISA Network

STUART, Florida, June 21, 2017 — Ocean Specialists, Inc. (OSI) is pleased to announce that it has completed its full scope of program work related to the ATISA submarine cable project. OSI has been engaged with DOCOMO PACIFIC since the earliest days of the project, helping shape the commercial and technical foundations of the program, with a continuing technical management role that extended through manufacturing, installation, and commissioning. The ATISA network was installed by NEC.
